about

I wrote this song in 2006, but it didn't get recorded until 2008. It has never been released previously, and I know it won't fit on any of my future releases. That's exactly the kind of reason I felt like this retrospective was a good idea. At the time, this beat blew most of my previous work away, and lyrically it marks the time when I was transitioning from a kid who wants to rap, into a rap artist. The main difference between the two, I believe, is that when you WANT to rap you say what you think a rapper should say, once you become a Rap Artist you say whatever you feel like saying. My favorite lines: "A million Idle Americans are Watching American Idol" and "Make a Wal-Mart a Target".

His latest record, "Ornithopter" is slated for release in Mid-February 2012. ... more
