about

OK, so this one is off of "Paper Cranes" and really has no business being on this album. Although it was written / recorded at the end of '08, it certainly isn't an obscure song. This version, however, has never been heard by anyone other than me. It's my rough first recording of the song and I think it has some kind of interesting feel that isn't present in the Official album version. It was written in response to being confronted with so many different types of negative cats in the Baltimore rap scene. I'm sure it's not unique to the B, but the scene is full of wannabe gangsters, people who imagine that they have a label or an "Empire", terrible rappers that INSIST on battling you. Just all sorts of people who can't keep their heads straight.

P.T. Burnem Richmond, Virginia

Al Shipley of the Baltimore City Paper called P.T. Burnem "A captivating performer, with an intense physicality matching his deep commanding voice and dark, dense production". His aggressive stage presence and articulate flow have captivated crowds as far away as Moscow, and as close as Joey's Basement. His latest record, "Ornithopter" is slated for release in Mid-February 2012. ... more
